Community Engagement
i-80 Gold is committed to building and maintaining respectful, long-lasting, and collaborative relationships with indigenous groups, host communities, local governments, and institutions surrounding our mining operations. We believe in investing in and providing educational and career opportunities to students and community members. We also seek to impact our communities by contributing our “time, talent, and treasure” for economic development and to drive social impact.
i-80 Gold Gives Back
At i-80 Gold, we are committed to being a positive force in the communities where we operate. We believe in the power of collaboration and sustainability, and that’s why we created the i-80 Gold Grants for Good program.
This program is designed to support local non-profit organizations in northern Nevada that are making a positive impact and improving the lives of our residents. By working together, we can build stronger, more vibrant communities for everyone.
The i-80 Gold Grants for Good program is now closed.
Framework For Giving
To ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to community development, we evaluate grant applications based on their alignment with our three key focus areas: Sustainable Communities, Education and Workforce Development, and Inclusive Economic Growth. These focus areas promote social well-being and long-term sustainability. We will assess how each proposed project aligns with these areas and adheres to our established funding framework.
SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES
Promoting responsible resource management, including waste reduction, conservation, community clean-ups, and environmental education.
Education & Workforce Development
Investing in and providing educational and career opportunities to students and community members.
Inclusive Economic Growth
Positively impacting the communities we live and work in by contributing our “time, talent, and treasure” for economic development and to drive social impact.
